Vicenza and the gentle slopes of Gambellara DOC Wines

€ 290.00 per person

1st day
Arrive to Vicenza; stroll in the historic city center to admire the phenomenal legacy of Palladian architecture: the Olympic Theater, the House of Palladio and the numerous palaces attributed to the artist. Visit the Villa Capra called “La Rotonda “, a Venetian villa with a central plan built by Andrea Palladio for Paolo Almerico dating from 1566 near the city of Vicenza.
Dinner and overnight stay in hotel or farm holiday location.

2nd day
In the morning, visit in an evocative Venetian Villa and the ancient little church of San Marco with the possibility of a walk in the neighbouring natural park, housed in the former quarry volcanic basalt.
Visit of a wine estate on the route of the Recioto Wine and Gambellara DOC Wines, followed by a superb tasting of the DOC wines and local products.
Visit to a traditional meat/pork factory where Sopressa Vicentina DOC is produced or to an organic beekeeping.
Dinner and overnight stay in hotel or farmhouse.

3rd day
In the morning, visit to the Castles of Romeo and Juliet at Montecchio Maggiore. To follow, visit to the eighteenth-century Villa Cordellina Lombardi, a wonderful work of art by the Venetian architect Giorgio Massari, who admittedly was inspired by Palladian models.
Transfer to Gambellara hills and lunch in a typical restaurant.

Price per person includes: 2 overnight stays and 2 dinners in a 3 star hotel or on a farm house, 1 lunch (drinks included), visit to wine estate with tasting, visit to the pork/meat factory or to the beekeeping, entry to Villa Capra, Castles of Romeo and Juliet and 1 Venetian Villa.
The price does not included: transfers, guided services, tips, extras, and any other service not listed in the note “price per person includes”.

For the wine lovers, a special evening with a sommelier with guided tasting of wine and grappa or visiting of vineyards during the period of harvest.
