After arriving in Bassano del Grappa, freshen up in the hotel. Start a walking tour along Viale dei Martiri, scenery of the Second WW resistance. Visit of the town center and the famous Ponte degli Alpini, symbol of the city, designed by Andrea Palladio. Guided tours are available to the museum of Grappa Poli, with grappa tasting.
Visit the Civic Museum which highlights the works of Jacopo Bassano and Antonio Canova, local artists.
Lunch at local typical restaurants.
In the afternoon, transfer to Asolo and walk through the historical center and continue your trip along a scenic nature trail, the Rocca di Asolo, overlooking the entire village town which has kept its medieval appearance. Visit the Civic Museum which houses the Archaeological section, the works of Canova, and various important historical heirlooms (Caterina Cornaro, Eleonora Duse, Robert Browning and Freya Stark). As an alternative, you can also visit the Tessoria Asolana, a hand weaving workshop, that for over a century and a half, has produced rare and precious fabrics. The workshop has experienced its greatest expansion under the management of two English women, Flora and Freja Stark.
Visit a winery and experience a wine and food tasting full of local products.
Dinner and overnight stay at a local hotel.
Breakfast and departure for Possagno. Visit to the Canova Museum and Gallery, which houses within the various exhibition buildings numerous collections of the works of Antonio Canova. Visit the nearby Tempio Canoviano, a gift from the artist to his hometown, with its splendid internal vault housing marvellous art treasures as well as the tomb of the artist with his marble self-portrait.
Following this, we suggest a visit to the local beekeeping site, found on an organic farm.
